Escape the infuriating heat of the long summer days by taking a refreshing splash in the Logarita Spring in the town of Bilar, a two-hour drive from Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Here you can find a large swimming pool constantly fed with cascading fresh water coming from the mountains of Rajah Sikatuna Nature Reserve, the largest natural forest reserve in Bohol.
When you go to one of Bohol’s natural wonders for an outing, you will never have to worry about carrying along buckets of ice to cool thirst-quenching drinks. You can submerge liters of soda on a shallow stream next to the swimming pool and after thirty minutes or so, your chilled beverage is now ready for your consumption. Also, if you want to find out how fresh spring water tastes like, you can grasp a handful in your palms for a refreshing sip. To make your Logarita Spring getaway truly enjoyable, you can also bring sumptuous food along.
Getting to Logarita Spring:
You can catch a bus en route for Bilar (located on the interior part of Bohol, around 41 km away from Tagbilaran City) or Carmen found at the Bus Terminal in Dao. Ask the driver to drop you off at the town proper of Bilar and look for a habal-habal (motorcycle), taxi or a jeepney to take you to the Logarita swimming pool, which is 20 minutes away from the national road.
