One known fact that makes Bohol a never ending exciting climax is that the island never runs out of fresh springs. Yes, you read that right… Since Bohol boasts hundreds to thousands of karst caves, it isn’t a surprise that fresh springs are abundant on this island. Count in the Garcia Hernandez Roxas Park, or commonly called as Roxas Park for locals.

Formally known as President Manual A. Roxas Campsite, this park serves as a great getaway for picnickers and for those who wish to escape the heat especially during summer. Located 3 km from the national road in Garcia Hernandez, the ambient park offers two magnificent pools ready to hypnotize your body to take a plunge of the cold fresh spring waters feeding the pools.

Beside the swimming pools, native cottages are found which serves as a shade or shelter for picnickers to settle in and lay their feasts on the table for a fun-filled afternoon of cold splashes under the sun. Aside from the flamboyant Maambog Spring Pools, there are several facilities found within the park ideal for campers who’d like to spend a night with wildlife. Several caves called the Seventh Heaven Caves are also found within the premises, giving tourists an option to take a leap of adventure and be filled with excitement and fun.

With current statistics boasting more than 200 visitors and tourists a week, Roxas Park’s reputation definitely surges to become the pride not only of Garcia Hernandez, but also of Bohol. So why not take the plunge now?
